As the heart of a fiber optic gyro, LIOCREBIF’s fiber coils are high performance freestanding fiber coils which are winded through hexadecapole, octupole or quadrupole symmetrical methods. The freestanding structure eliminates the influence of the spool framework strain on the fiber, and the symmetrical winding methods reduce the Shup error to a lower level when the ambient temperature is changing. Meanwhile, the fiber coils are winded with small diameter PM fiber of 135μm or 100μm, the dimension of fiber coils are obviously reduced and available for compact gyros.
